It isn't easy to make money when you have scruples.

Right Livelihood is based on the concept of ahimsa (Sanskrit) for harmlessness, and essentially states that vegan practitioners ought not to engage in trades or occupations which, either directly or indirectly, result in harm to other living beings or living systems. Such occupations include "trading in arms and lethal weapons, intoxicating drinks, poisons, killing animals, [and] cheating, human or animal slavery", among others.

A Co-operative Business structure allows for equitable
distribution of wealth, responsibility and labor.

In a Co-op the business is owned by the
workers, service providers and operators.
--The structure of a Co-op is quite different from a typical corporation:
But the difference works in favor of those who actually provide a service or
product to the consumers (not to investors).
Unlike those companies we often see listed on the stock market,
the workers and service providers of a Co-op are paid a fair wage.
--In a typical corporation, the workers are making money
for the investors, so inequality often prevails- the folks "on top"
make money through exploitation of the workers;
--Whereas in a Co-op, rewards to the workers who actually perform
the task are directly reflected in the amount of money earned (plus) fringe benefits.

What is the ORMUS Cooperative?
- A cooperative is a form of business designed to provide
economic benefits to member owners as opposed to
providing income to investors. Cooperatives are owned and
controlled by the people who use their services.
- Cooperatives may sell the same types of goods and services and
employ the same kind of personnel as a commercially owned
business, but they have three important differences:

The term, “ORMUS”, is equivalent to the ORME, [with exception that] ...there is no longer the implied assumption that the elements are in a monatomic form. This variation in the definition is fundamentally more scientific in that it does not attempt to box the subject into a preconceived package. In effect, there is no empirical evidence that ORMUS materials are "monoatomic".
